Digital Video Broadcast-Handheld (DVB-H) is now a reality in Nigeria. The service makes it possible for owners of DVB-H-compatible mobile phones to watch television on their devices.
A company by the name Details Nigeria is currently offering the service through the MTN network, but it is available only in Abuja for now and will run free till December.
According to the news item carried by The Guardian, Nigerian mobile subscribers can now watch 12 DSTV channels, including NTA, Channels, CNN and African Magic on their phones.
Other cities on the line for roll-out are: Lagos, Calabar, Port Harcourt, and Ibadan.
